This week has been great so far after some pretty bad rain and not much progress last week. The guys are hard at work getting the house painted and it should be completed soon! Then we will get a roof and gutters placed. We had a meeting last night about where the downspouts will go since we are going black gutters to match the windows. It was a little overwhelming and I hope the downspouts work out where we are placing them. If they don’t look great we always have the option of painting the downspout the color of the siding which is nice for peace of mind. Seeing exterior paint house progress has been so fun!
We went with Shoji White by Sherwin Williams for the siding and trim. In most lights it looks pure white, but it isn’t a true bright white. I can’t wait to see the contrast when it first snows because I know the house will look like a warmer white and not be as bright as the snow. The picture below shows a little more warmth to the paint but luckily it doesn’t go yellow, just a nice cream color.
They are wrapping around to the back now! The screened porch should have the fireplace bricked this week too!
Work is happening on the inside too! The electrician is finishing up his work and hopefully, in two weeks, we will have drywall going up! If you check out my saved Instastories I did a little tour and showed the amazing pantry doors I found. I’m also knee deep in lighting selections and I’m getting a little overwhelmed. I have 28 lights to buy in the next few weeks…challenge accepted! I’m sure I will have an entire lighting post to share soon.
