Wow, these last few weeks have flown by. The new build process is so amazing to watch! We listed our current house for sale in the middle of June and after only 3 days on the market we had two offers! One offer fell through but we accepted the other one and we have to be out of hour house by July 30th. If you need me I’ll be buried in boxes for the next 3 weeks!
We went to Northern Michigan for the 4th of July week and enjoyed some much needed relaxation, but now that we are home it is packing time! We will be moving in with the in-laws for 3-4 months until our new house is finished.
Luckily the house progress continued over these past few weeks and we have the entry wall framed as well as the entire second floor! They have also cut out the first floor windows and everything is looking great. When the second floor went up it was so fun to have a roof over the first floor and it gave use a really good idea of what the space will feel like.
It was so exciting to be able to walk up the stairs to the second floor. The area below these stairs leads to the basement. The entry to the basement stairs will be from the living room and not the entry way.
Of course I had to snap a cute picture of the kids…this is them pretending to like each other. Ha!
The entry way framing came together so nicely! The second floor will have the kids bedrooms, a bathroom and the bonus play room. I can’t wait to see the porch start coming together as well.
This picture should help to give you an idea of the layout!
View of the entire house!
This is the view of the back and the screened porch. Hopefully they will frame the porch soon! The weather is great this week and the roof trusses should be going on soon! So excited!
