While drywall progress continued on the interior last week we hit some major outside milestones! We were able to pour the front and back sidewalks and after a few different designs, I think we got it just right! I didn’t realize how much went into getting the perfect sidewalk and there are so many variations of how it could be poured. Did we want straight lines with hard angles; soft curves with it tucked closer to the house and what were we going to do with landscaping on both sides?! This sidewalk house progress update took a ton of discussion but I’m so happy with how it turned out.
We decided on a nice natural curve to the front door and wanted to leave enough space on the house side to plant grass and landscaping. This also gives a great view when walking up to the front door!
The back sidewalk was more challenging than the front! We had to connect the garage door and also wanted some room to grill right outside the screened porch. I’m so happy with how the back came together. We had so many different versions of this path, but it worked out great!!
They were busy staining the boards for the roof of the screened porch this weekend. I can’t wait to see it get installed! Hope you have a great week!
